Root canal Therapy

Root canal treatment of a tooth may be necessary in several instances, for example: if a tooth is heavy decayed, if an abscess is present or following trauma involving the teeth.

  • The process involves removing the nerve and blood vessels within the root of the tooth(the whole tooth and root stays intact). The canal in the root will then be cleaned and shaped in order to be filled and restored permanently.
  • A root canal treatment may need one to three appointments depending on the severity of the symptoms and the amount of canals present(varies from 1 to 4).
